These book ends were nice enough in plain white, but I like things with color! The horse features stand out much more now. I am not sure if these are ceramic or porcelain, but with a cleaning, sanding and some paint, they are beautiful and one of a kind!
There were some imperfections in the ceramic/porcelain but they are minimal and with the uniform paint, aren't obvious and won't be noticeable up on a shelf or where ever you place them. I tried to get close ups but as you can see, they aren't even noticeable in the pictures.
I took the photo with tall, big books and maybe I should have used smaller books so it wouldn't dwarf these. They stand 6 inches tall and are 4 1/2 inches wide.
